I just had my 10th chemo last wednesday. It was pretty bad, I still ended up getting sick a couple times. I had the doc give me extra sedatives to knock me out, that worked for about 1 1/2 hours of it.
My good friend, Rusty, who lives next door, went with me. He kept me company during chemo and picked up Cody for me from Sandra's house, she had babysat him all day for me.
I felt awful that evening, very sick and nauseous, so Rusty even stayed and watched the boys for me while I slept on the couch. That was really nice.
I've been pretty nauseous again this time. I just keep trying to remember I'm almost done!
Doc is sending me for a pulmunary test next week to check my lungs. One of the chemicals in the chemo cocktail they give me is Bleomycin which is very damaging to the lungs, so I've got to get checked out.

Hey Mal I've been thinking of you all week and wondered how #10 went. Just think only 2 more to go and they'll all be behind you. Last weekend exactly three years ago is when everything hit me. Did you hear that our man Lance ran the NYC Marathon in just under 3 hours. What a great accomplishment for another fellow survivor!!! Hang in there my friend, that sunny day is getting much closer. Always thinking of you, Bobby Schneider
Hello Mallory, I have reading your journal this morning and my heart goes out to you and your family. It sounds like you are surrounded with love and have the wonderful support from family and friends. I remember how important this is. It is my frequent prayer that you'll remain steadfast, strong, and keep your faith during
this bad time. He is with you and will see you trough this. When
chemo over, your hair will grow back and you'll regain your strength. My favorite word when I had chemo & radiation was "VICTORY". I had a wonderful CD by Damrus Carboll with
uplifting victory music that helped me through those days....
and I claimed that 'VICTORY" for
myself. Love & Prayers, Aunt Lynn
PS. Terrific family pictures!
Hey Mallory! Chris just emailed me this page and I have been sitting here reading it all morning. You are such a wonderful person!! I remembered all the emails you sent me concerning Marks accident as you all were going through that. That was horrible, now this. You are remarkable for being able to keep such high spirits and good faith through all of this. I have a member of my family that went through chemo for his cancer. It was a long tough fight, but he made it through and is now in remission. I don't recall him having HALF the strength you show. I have no doubts that you will pull through this. Now I can keep up on how you are doing. You'll be in my prayers daily. May God bless you and put his healing hands on you and your family.
